Bad Texters and "Busy" People who use dating apps

If you take 24-48 to respond to a text, from someone who you are actually interested in dating/meeting/seeing again, you suck. Honestly, you suck, you're shitty at communicating and you know it. Make all the excuses you want ("I'm a student... I work a lot... I'm busy, I'm going on a other dates") blah blah blah. How about this? If you don't have the time, space, energy, and desire to go on dates, meet people, get laid etc. - Do the rest of us a favour and stop using dating apps. You're wasting your own time and everyone else's, plus you're ruining the overall digital space we share by feeding into negative roles and behaviours that are so common to app users, online daters, and texters.

Don't listen to this guy. I want dating apps to fail so people go back to human contact!

Rejection... Time to move on

They're making excuses to avoid to see you specifically, but love to communicate with you through apps. Yes, they're rejecting you, so it's better to move on and focus your attention somewhere else.

I don’t know...

Yes, prompt reply would be nice, but 24-48hrs doesn’t seem bad, I’ve worked 10hrs days wiped and gone straight to bed or need to follow up with a family member or have an appointment or school straight after work. (And yes probably takes 2 sec to respond to explain that or one is too busy to date and should recognize that). I’ve gotten migraines, where I’m out for 24hrs; which I can tell people I’ve dated don’t believe me. And yeah, it could be a sh*tty communication issue, can also be someone’s attachment issues. In any case I want to acknowledge it’s really tough out there in this city and we all deserve better.

And this is why ...

I deleted the dating apps within a month of signing up. I hated when notifications popped up on my phone. Someone sends you a like and you like them back. I took the liberty of starting the convo and nothing back. Why bother liking someone else's photos if you are not going to respond.
