Ask your childfree friends how they manage (if you have any; ppl with kids tend to ditch childfree friends).

Maybe because childfree people tend to be selfish and judgemental?
Normal

It’s normal and there’s a name for it. Empty nest syndrome. But it gets better and soon you’ll realize that your new freedom is wonderful. You can do things you couldn’t before. As for being afraid to live alone, remember that a lot of fears in people are generated by the media. You hear about something bad happening to one person and then you magnify it into that same thing happening all the time. The reality is that the overwhelming majority of people (including us women) can go through our lives living alone safely (while obviously taking reasonable precautions) without being attacked by a stranger. Especially when you take into account the fact that most attacks on females are perpetrated by people they know and trust : ( .
Invaluable skill

Learning how to be comfortable with your own company is an invaluable life skill. Keanu got it right when he said, "once you learn how to take care of yourself, company becomes an option and not a necessity." So take some time to get to know yourself again. Who are you now that you're no longer actively parenting? Are you someone who volunteers? Learns new languages? Are you a homebody or do you like exploring and travelling? Find out and best of luck to you! <3
