Than a pretty chef to hang out, cook together, and go out to eat with. My foodie friends wherever they are, I love them all.

have certainly improved the food landscape over the years. More and more people are knowledgeable about ingredients and cooking which is great! BUT I feel like the foodie trend focuses too much on decadence and indulgence in an age where food insecurity and income disparity are very real concerns. I wish there was more talk about the politics of food and about affordable and nutritious food for everyone.

If you can't afford to go out and spend $20 a person- for years- the problem is not with Vancouver, the problem lies with you.
