It’s been done

I was driving past my old workplace today. At first I could hardly look at the building because it reminded me of things that happened there. But then I took a deep breath and said “Eh it’s been done.” I just kept right on driving to my current job and couldn’t be more happier. Life can be shitty sometimes but the best thing about life is that it does go on. What happened in the past stays in the past. It’s been done.

Sounds like you’ve clearly accepted that things are what they are and cannot change them. Glad you are doing so much better now by coming to terms with yourself. When it’s over, it’s over. This is a chapter in your life that’s now closed. There’s nothing more gratifying than moving on. Keep staying positive and focused. Take care of yourself.

I used to avoid driving my old work because I hated the place so much but now I just drive by and think "Well at least I moved on to something better and I don't have to work THERE anymore!" It was pretty awful. But time took care of it. I am in a better place.
