I’ve noticed that

When the weather is extreme, like a big snow dump or a real steady rain downpour I don’t get mail that day.
But a couple days later when the weather eases off a big whack of mail arrives.
It seems my mailman is Newman from Seinfeld.

When I lived way out West I really missed the changing seasons. Back in God's country one can truly enjoy a vigorous bracing ride through the snow. Plus it keeps the wimps away cowering indoors. Bonus!
I hate the cold

What do you expect? Mail deliverers are people too, and should not be expected to risk life and limb just to deliver your flyers and bank updates!
More likely the mail didn't get delivered to the carriers in the first place. Planes don't land in snow out here, and trucks don't drive in it either.
Why disparage the delivery person, who is really just some working schmoe trying to get by?

Way out west? God's country!? Where did you live before, in a margarine commercial? You ARE way out west. BC is the most west you can be. How far west do you want to be, the Pacific Ocean?
God's country. Seriously. We got all kinds here.

If DriveBC warns everyone to not go out during the “extreme“ (well for BC it is) weather what makes you think your letter carrier will come out to deliver your TV guide especially when not everyone salts their front steps or shovel their walkways or the side streets not salted or ploughed. I wouldn’t deliver to you either just to slip and hurt myself. No thanks I believe your TV guide, flyers, and junk mail can wait until it’s safer out there. At least you’re getting them once it clears up.
