I miss Vancouver but I'd need to clear 1500$ a week to make a go of things. It's getting like that right across the country. We should build another city in Camada and call it Paradise. A refuge for people who can't afford other cities. Rent would be 500 a month for a 1 bedroom apt.

...do people feel so entitled to pay $500 in monthly rent? I paid $650/month like 20 years ago. Get with the times and realize Vancouver is never going back to low rents again. If you want low rent, live in rural Idaho.

Great Idea
I watched a netflicks show on that same idea but in the series it turned into a cult.
Man they started off so right, the people all worked together and made grass grow, planted trees and plants and life returned in a place where basicly nothing lived
Bloody Amazing what people could do working together!!!
Now I dont know where it happened, some town in the states..And I cant remember the name of the show on netflicks either..lol

Paradise exists all over the place. Just not in Canada. You could probably find your 500$ a month apartment in miserable Windsor Ontario (the armpit of Canada) or you could live by a tropical beach all over the world. Need a job? Teach English to start. Mexico, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia.

Windsor's the armpit of Canada not Prince George or North Battleford or Winnipeg or ?? Let's face it most Canadian town and cities are shitholes, there's a reason even Vancouver and Victoria cost a fortune to live in. It's as good as it gets.
