I didn't like how she started shopping at Whole Foods... it was so cliché.

If you want some background here, she was quite foolish with money. She was not going to save the world by buying $100 vegan popcorn.

Whole Foods has nothing you cant get elsewhere for cheaper. It's the sort of place where if you have a recipe that calls for dried XYZ peppers and they happen to have them, sure, get the $8 bag, but everything else you can find somewhere else for cheaper.
Most healthy people I meet, it's like advertising, they know that some percent of their money is wasted, but they're not sure which, so they keep shopping at whole foods.
