It was a niche marketFeb 18, 2020 at 2:36amI found some ocean animal, cutsie themed melamine dishes there for my summer cabin quite a few years back. I think they were on sale. Not practical for the everyday shopper, but I'll miss the occasional drop in. what used to beFeb 18, 2020 at 10:38amPier 1 used to be a hippy-ish cheapo place to get wicker goods, candles, incense and a bunch of other odds & ends. It was popular mostly due to affordability and good purchasing, obviously best prices for bulk buying corporately. Then they devolved into a higher priced home furnishing outlet so similar to others in the market. No wonder they went broke. Too bad for the staff, it's always sad when a chain goes under no matter what the reason. Join the Discussion Your name Comment * your name What's your name?
