I am captain of the ocean

The reason that I like having a boat is that it gives me complete freedom of my destiny unlike those city slickers stuck on roads. Unlike them, I can become an oyster farmer, a salmon farmer, whale enviro helper, a wonderful ice berg ice cube harvester, or a kelp farmer. All of those landlocked losers are wasting away in offices... meanwhile I am free!

... has a specific meaning, it is a legal term.

Freedom is the natural power of doing whatever one wishes except as forbidden de jure or vi---by law or force.

Servitude, is when one is, contrary to freedom, bound upon a covenant to do something or not to do something.

So, you have your boat, I bet it is registered, if you park it anywhere, you're under covenant.

Freedom is an amazing thing, but the modern world is set up to make it impossible.

Got my boating license after a $200(ish) class for a few evenings. Which saved me a lot of grief.
A boat is a hole in the water. You throw money into it. A plane is a hole in the air. You throw money into it. A horse is a hole in a field... Etc. You almost never get that money back.
Like Felix Dennis said, if it floats, flies or f*cks, better to rent than to buy. Neither profit nor freedom are usually found that way. You're full of it.

Hey

Catfish are delicious. I should know. I've caught thousands. Of course they eat all the filth off the bottom, and then we eat that... Probably helped me in my decision to go vegan some years back. Still miss the 'feeling' of fishing though.

Ahoy there!

Motor home or van people can go all over North America and do ten thousand more things than you can do.
You are limited to the BC coast,as beautiful as it is.
