Online dates

There is always something wrong with them, like they are afraid of birds or do not eat gluten or always carry a re-usable bag in their Hummer, etc. I wonder what's wrong with me then?

The people in this city are largely self-absorbed, neurotic and boring. You're going to be boring when you spend all your time fixating on your neuroses. Why people punish themselves with dating in this city is beyond me. I know several who have found love on international dating apps and have moved elsewhere. You can do it too. Leave. Let the world open up for you. Vancouver is horrible.

Normal people meet people IRL, they use the internet to, like, find out when a movie is showing or something. I have dated internet people and people I knew IRL, and the internet people were always...off...

There is nothing wrong with anyone. Not even you. Everyone has their own quirks that make them unique. I often find that when I’m having a hard time accepting myself that I’m less accepting towards others. I wonder if there may be something you’re struggling to love about yourself. Self compassion goes a long way :)

Good question

What is wrong with you that you’re expecting anyone to be exactly what you want? We’re all different; deal with it.

You judge people for their personal choices that aren’t harming anyone. Sure, a hummer is a stupid vehicle of choice for a city but I have a feeling that one may be an exaggeration.

The examples you cite are all pretty trivial IMO, and even kind of cute and a good sign that something about you unlocks their willingness to admit to certain eccentricities, which we all have.
