Profile Picture Angst

I have become quite fit over the past few years. I kept looking forward to the day I could shock everyone with my muscles and good looks, and get lots of likes and hearts and female interest, but now that I've achieved my goal I worry about getting that very result! I feel crappy that without the superficial display they currently aren't showing me any attention because they don't know. So I don't want to post because then I'd be judged on what I look like and not who I am.

As I like to say, looks bring them to the door but it's what inside that makes them want to stay.
So let it happen, let your dedication be on display and enjoy some attention. Or just go out in the real world and enjoy some eyes looking your way, and leave the online crap to the side.

But it's not superficial

You made an effort to improve your health and looks. You can enjoy the results now. It is you!

People...

... judge based on looks, not "who you are." I was obese most of my life, the saddest thing about losing the weight was how even my "friends" treated me better. I got sick and gained a bunch of weight back, even long-time friends started treating me worse.

I've confirmed this with a number of fatties---it's quite depressing, in a sense.

If you actually are hot now, I'd say enjoy it. Nothing lasts forever.

Don't shoot yourself in the foot like this. Becoming fit is not merely superficial - it is a sign that you have good personality traits like discipline and commitment. So you will get superficial attention. That's okay. You want women to be physically attracted to you, right? Next, out of all the women who pay attention to you, look for the one who wants to get to know you as a person. Your doubt shows how little faith you have in women, and, dare I say, a secret disdain for women even? When was the last time you liked a woman for who she was? Good luck, though. I do hope you find love. And by the way, are you really going to get THAT much attention? I thought people in this city are self-absorbed and have their heads up their arses enough to not even notice other people around them.

Woman here. I don't care about a muscle build. I'm attracted to personality and eyes.
