or else why would something from ten years ago still be on your radar?
What?

Are you referring to a person? If you are then they’re lucky that you don’t find them important anymore, because anyone who talks that way about a person isn’t worth the time.
Yeah...

Well, it's kind of bittersweet, you know. You want something but you can't have it. And it morphs into something you wouldn't be interested in. So that's "good"...only it's not good. It's disappointing. So, yes. Bitterness.

Or blood under the bridge now. Nothing to be bitter about. No courage. No rewards.

So why can’t you have something? See the fact that it morphed into bitterness suggest either you or they were not interested. Possibly other reasons also like they are already spoken for. I’d say in this case though it’s you call, me crazy but I think they might not be good enough for everyone but you. That’s where the bitterness you place upon them comes from, if they were just a different sort of person than maybe my peers would accept them. Yes possibly, but it’s very doubtful you would love them as deeply as you do though. Why change someone you love so deeply into someone you hate?

I was honest! It led to pain and confusion. AND NOTHING ELSE. So now I'll sit under that bridge. And complain. And throw tantrums. And throw stones.

No one could have tried so hard and gone to greater lengths for another than you have. They know it and they know they could never be worthy of it because of how they ignorantly treated you when you gave it.. You're not the only one bitter about how it turned out. They are bitter too. You hurt their pride and aroused their jealousy. In their mind you proved that you were too good for them even though you never believed you were but rather far from it. A person's pride always demands what they know themselves to be worthy of. A person's jealousy always demands that another should never get more than they believe themselves to deserve. They were too cold and vindictive and you were too loyal and trusting for all the bad timing that was involved. Don't judge them too harshly for being weak, cowardly, and self centered. They were never really that special.
Dam right
