Such a lovely sunny afternoon and no one to have a coffee with and have a nice chat. It’s lonely as hell here and I’ve been here for years. Some nice folk in retail though.

People will tell you Vancouver isn't aloof, that it's in your head but if you go away for extended periods of time and come back you will see it immediately. It's deeply rooted in the culture for whatever reason. Vancouver will weather COVID-19 just fine.

Burqas and gas masks are in fashion again. All that work spent on facial recognition and then some people create a pandemic. Thankfully it will reduce smelling the bad breath of the staff at No Frills. So looking forward to Halloween now.

Italians kiss each other hello and goodbye. We don't even look at each other if we can help it.
