Final exams

Any other post-secondary students struggling with trying to prepare for finals during a pandemic? I wasn't prepared to do this while trapped in my home, and it's getting harder to see the point when it doesn't look like I'll be able to complete my program or get a job, no matter how well I manage to do.

We are all feeling the pressure

But fear will never be my boss! I don't know much by I've experienced enough to feel confident that this world always provides opportunity is adversity. Suggest you talk things over with someone inspiring and if you don't know that person, perhaps try some community service work. Thats where the good ones are often found.

Invest in yourself

Academic credentials are very useful.
Much better to have one than not. I speak as a uni dropout.
You already had the pain and the sunk cost. May as well get the benefit.

Be persistent

The truth is it's going to be tough for you to find a job, but that's OK. When you apply for jobs, go to interviews that don't turn into offers, remind yourself, there's a lot of people in your shoes and those with experience that you're competing against, the game IS stacked against you. Use this to remind yourself that persistence is what is going to help you find that job, be successful at that job and prove to not only your future employer but yourself that persistence is what makes you strong. Remember, over time, water turns rock into soft sand.

Just do it. Or not

You aren’t the only one. But: There are no guarantees with anything, pandemic or not. Maybe you might not finish this semester. But you can eventually finish. It’s not like this is the Last Semester Ever. And, even in boom times with no pandemic, it’s not like there are great jobs freely available to everyone. Unemployment and dashed dreams are a common thing, at least with this you can blame it on a highly contagious deadly virus instead of having your friends and family wonder what is wrong with you.
