Halp

My husband does not take social distancing and this virus nearly as seriously as I do. It’s freaking me out. We have tried to get him down to once a week outings but he keeps wanting to break that.

Hey there.
I am in the same boat here.
My partner and I both social distance but one takes it more seriously than the other (me:))
What sucks?
Every action has a consequence
So when he breaks the rules he directly affects not only you but the family right?
We were going for a walk and i walked onto the road as someone was coming toward me... He chose to keep going.
But he kind of made a point that I was weird about it right.
So then were in superstore and he puts his hand on my back and gently pushes my forward as if to hurry up.
I saw my opening.
I said i dont appreciate when you nudge me in any direction in public because its embarassing.
He.looked a little hurt.
But you know what im not going to argue or fight about what he should be doing .
Thats his life.
The last thing any man wants to hear is how he cant or shouldnt do something so let him go
Its a free countrynwith freedom of mobility. Dont make him dread coming home. Just find an opportunity to bring it up like i did with my partner.
Good luck

Oh FFS

You're not supposed to stay in the house all bloody day- get out and go for a walk, you're NOT going to catch it.

And typical response, cheating, fucktard, doesn't respect you.
If the confession was reversed, we'd hear "Oh girl, don't let that man tell YOU what to do."

I'm in the same situation! I go outside nearly daily to get some fresh air and sunshine and my partner tells me I'm a jerk. It's not like I'm going to the beach or parks - just around the block! Honestly, if you go out, touch nothing, stay away from people (which is easy because we all give each other a wide berth), and wash your hands as soon as you come home, you're hurting no one. It's the people who are still going hiking and getting SAR calls who are the problem, not your husband who needs to stretch good legs.

What exactly do you mean by outing? A walk around the neighbourhood while practicing social distancing, or meeting up with other people?
