Wish I could hug a stranger

On April 4th along Beach Ave I witnessed three Canadian Geese fly into the front of a driving BMW. The geese came out of nowhere and sadly they were run over and badly injured. The driver of the BMW could not have averted this situation. At the next intersection I saw the driver was crying and was shaken up. I just wanted to tell this driver that I wish I could have given you a hug and tell you that it wasn’t your fault, it was an accident.

Oh that s so terrible and sad. I was out walking and this woman wiped out on the opposite sidewalk and I felt so sad that all I could do was to call out" are you ok?" Maybe the guy will read your post or someone will and relay it. I m sure it will make him feel better.

They're called Canada geese. There are plenty of them. It's not like they are some kind of holy sacred rare endangered species. There is a huge local population that doesn't even migrate.
There are open seasons for hunting them where it is legal to shoot and a daily bag limit of 10 with a possession limit of 30. I've only got one left in the freezer.
They are good eating. Unfortunately it is illegal to keep road kill in BC, but I have done it. These days though with everyone connected with a cell phone, some bleeding heart goody-goody goose-hugger would call the cops on me for picking up a dead goose for the pot. Not that the Vancouver city police know anything about game laws.
