Browsing HMV, A&B Sound and Charlie’s for hours when a trip downtown was still a magical escape.

I miss lp' s with the great covers and 45's. Maybe I just miss being young.

You can still buy CDs new and used, and they still sound better than MP3s. CDs are 1,411 kbps vs MP3s are 320 kbps compressed files. FLACs are popular and outstanding but I'm shocked how many people are still listening to MP3s even with so much space available on mobile devices these days.

We had that stuff in the 80s too! Much Music MTV and all the CDs you could crank up on your stereo. Good times!

Youtube has an infinite selection, new, old, corporate, indy, not to mention live shows. You can check out Cab Caloway doing Minnie The Moocher from any decade you like.
