Being my own barber
posted May 21st, 2020 at 2:03 AM
The one good thing that came out of covid was buying myself an electric buzzer. I now know how to buzz my head and trim my beard. It made me realize what a great life skill it is to have, especially since the barbershops have closed. Don’t see myself ever walking into a barbershop again. I’m pretty happy with the results and saving money on haircuts and shaving cream.

I decided around last September, WAY Pre-Covid to just let it rip. I think I have had one commercial haircut in the last 25 years and that was when I was working out of town about 7 years ago. Otherwise Mrs. cut my hair. I bought a hair-cutting buzz kit at LD about 3 years ago and had been trimming the beard short too, maybe down to 3/8 to 1/2 an inch every month. But now 10 months later I've got a pony tail and at 66 a long white Gandalf beard going.
Awesome!

That's good you're being proactive. I also bought an electric shaver online and so far, so good. It may not be the barber's but it's decent.
It's the secret to success

Do everything you can yourself. If you don't know how, learn how.
