Those will be those with herd immunity eventually. The majority will survive, some won't. What's important is that they don't take COVID-19 back to the elderly or those with compromised immune systems.

People are going to get it. It's going to a year or two before we have a vaccine. What's important is that it's as gradual as possible and not a 2nd wave. I'm older. I not sure what direction that disease would take me, so I'll continue to social distance and wear a mask.

I cycle from Spanish Banks to Kits Beach, and as I drive, I mentally note who will be very sick and who will die. I see history repeating. Lots of self entitlement that doesn't mean immunity, but that's what happens when arrogance goes unchecked. When the survivors wail, crying "why?" they can look back and recall the year they thought they were impervious to a virus they were warned about. Serves them right. No sympathy for any of them. They're probably really douchey jerks anyway (arrogant types usually are), so no harm, no foul.

Try 70 days. People recovering in Wuhan were still shedding after 70 days...and counting. And unless you were very sick, you might not have immunity and get it over and over. We know so little about something that's easily caught that can accumulate and wear us down.

We are in for a hell of a Summer. Just wait for the deadly second wave in Fall. We are the smart ones.

You bother because you have more of a survival instinct than these examples you gave. You bother because you know that you can’t control how other people deal with this, but you can control how you deal with it. You bother because you don’t want to die, and you don’t want others to die. You bother because you understand basic concepts of science while these others think they are immortal, immune.

There are 4 people I know who went to Kit's yesterday, 1 of them I thought was smarter than that, I guess not. It's quite sad when you realize your "friends" are either SO selfish they only care about their own happiness, OR they are just plain stupid and don't get how the virus works. Regardless, I doubt these peoples careless behaviour will. change, and ultimately they will be part of the 2nd wave because if their carelessness. Remember the term survival of the fittest?

The health guidance is clear to still keep in small #s and maintain physical distance not to spread this thing. This thing isn't over. The problem being these people are make decisions for others as they can be mega carriers and not even know it. So they kill YOUR grandmother for what so they can be cool on Kits beach for an hour.

Don't get me wrong I see people in the parks and beaches socially distancing and remaining vigilant. There needs to be some outlets for nature, but as the author says COMMON SENSE PEOPLE.

Sure herd vaccination will likely kick in before a vaccine, but that doesn't mean you need to be stupid.
