my Life just got a lot simpler

I don’t know why this never occurred to me before but I just realized that if I ask someone something more than one time, I give all my power away. What I should be doing is asking only once and then listening carefully for the answer. If it’s anything other than "yes, I can do that", I should not have any expectations that anything will come of my request. Instead of wasting my time becoming resentful, I can move on and ask someone else. A little context is that for health reasons I need to make lots of requests these days. It’s exhausting managing people who can’t commit, so I’ll move onto people for whom it’s not so difficult. There are many people of that variety too.

A royal pain in the ass who is more than willing to use people. To be honest, people are pretty quick at figuring out people like you.

Ignore the negative nancies who are twisting what you posted into their own dramas.

After I stopped answering calls from someone always expecting me to run errands for their fully capable ass. I was guilted into performing with the line.."I'd do it for you" or.. "we are neighbors and can depend on each other."
I love helping people out but being taken advantage of by capable people or being depended on without compensation of is unacceptable.
