No summer concerts.... for reals.

I do not know how my life would be without the memories of being a 15, 16 and 17 year old going into the city for shows on summer nights. the buzz, the energy of being alive with little groups of friends adventuring the city in the hours leading up to shows, wandering Granville and Hastings and experiencing a big city open all night...

Jeez, right? Vancouver is already painfully dull, what few good events the region has have been canceled. How many laps can a person do around the sea wall?

those were great times in the little big city. Sadly now only rich kids can afford concert tickets.

Especially the riots after the Canucks lost, mainly fuelled but those “visiting” the little city too. Nice having less idiots on the Granville Mall these days.

was orginally planning to purchase Rolling Stones tickets for May, as a follow up to seeing them in Seattle last summer.
Couldn't believe the Vancouver ticket prices! Was cheaper to fly to Kentucky or some other non- coastal State to see the band.
Probably more fun too.
Not sure if youngsters even miss the sweaty all ages shows that were pretty popular in the 90's.
