There's a limit

to my patience with selfish people.
I'm walking down the sidewalk today and a group of three are walking toward me abreast of each other, leaving no room for me to pass.
They picked the wrong day, my hockey training came in handy and a perfect, little shoulder check laid one of the culprits out flat.
I know, shouldn't have done it but this makes up for the other hundred times I diverted out to the street and said nothing.

I never thought I would stiff arm a very attractive women. But when for some reason she thought she could get closer to me than I would comfortably allow pre pandemic... it was just reflex.

Look how that mentality has brought this world to the brink of great peril. Only love will conquer hate. "When you fight monsters be careful you don't become a monster."

I did that to people all the time in Van pre C-19. You'd think they had gotten the memo by now. People were even worse where I live but now give you a wide berth.

Don't sweat it. Whenever I encounter a fool who won't get out of my way I make sure they suffer...that is unless I know they can kick my ass which itself rarely happens.
That said I will generally try to avoid trouble. It's just that some people have it coming to them.

omg I was walking home today thinking I may need to post something about this, but you did!
I spend most of my walking time out on the road or out in a bike lane while I dodge people, couples, friends who are walking 2 and 3 abreast on the sidewalk or across Cambie bridge. I literally spend 80-90% of my time getting out of THEIR way. Please people, step behind or in front of the person you are walking with and allow someone to pass safely. It's a shared sidewalk and its the decent thing to do. I'm a woman and so not prone to shoulder checking but sometimes I get so exasperated with them! I honestly can't say if they don't care, or they don't realize. But I've had enough. Thanks for posting on this.

No,you're wrong. If you meekly get out of their way it reinforces their behaviour.

I think you're ideas are exactly what is wrong with society. So quick to be judge, trial, and jury.
