I confess

I confess I strongly feel that people who use leaf blowers and point them towards pedestrians, cyclist and cars should be charged with assault. Most users are considerate enough to not point them at people, or stop to let people pass without blowing dirt, dust and particulate at at them. The ones that don't give a shit about blowing crap at people should be charged with assault, because that's what it is. I don't want the shit on the sidewalk blown at me at high speed, nobody does. It gets in your eyes, nose and mouth and the crap can easily scratch the paint on cars. Call it what it is, it's assault. Hell if I grab a handful of the crap they blow at me and throw it at them it's assault, same fucking thing.

It's even stupider during pandemic.

Custodial staff at Bentall Centre are still at it every morning.

they should be banned

I totally agree. leaf blowers n power washers are major air polluters and a health hazard to anyone near them. power washer can also cause lung infections, legionnaires disease and none of the users wear masks. crazy.

So when that happened, did you do something about it? For example, yell at the person pointing a running leaf blower at you?

You should go protest the container ships and cruise ships in the harbour.
One ship in port, pollutes more NOX than all the cars in the GVRD combined, for a whole year

Happened to me. I tried to be considerate and walk off the sidewalk onto road, but as soon as I got back on sidewalk he blew a bunch of crap at me... I just kept going.

it may actually break a by law to sweep or blow debris into the street and leave there to potentially block the storm drains.
Lazy too.
If you see the see group or solo doing it, keep a record. May be the only legal way to strike back.
Blocked drains screw the neighborhood- people may pay attention.

Of complaining on here, find their truck parked nearby, which ought to have a name on the door, and call the office and complain. Address and time license plate etc.
I used to have a small company, and everyone was required to idle down when people around. If they didn't,they were gone.

The dolts even use them to blow around wet leaves in the pouring rain. Ever heard of a rake? Believe it or not, I heard that when West Enders tried to get them banned, the person who started the campaign received death threats. I despise leaf blowers and the earmuffed twits who enable them!

Using a high end blower is easily 50 times quicker than a rake, and 100 times faster than a broom.
So unless you want to pay higher taxes,so we can have legions of leaf rakers and dust sweepers around,I suggest you just mind your own business.
