I miss

the anonymous autonomy i had before getting a smart phone. I'm sad about the loosening of lockdown too. I loved the barely busy roads and mostly empty places. (yes i like people, just not lots of them all day long)

Funny phones have shown exactly what we are. No more illusions. No more big wheels. Everyone everything is commonplace and predictable. What happened to the magic? Toto leave that curtain alone!

I got more done before i had the phone. Some useful apps for sure -like Libby & Duolingo- but plenty more that are just time killers.
I read more before i got the phone. Sure i could read books/magazines ON the phone, but it's too small -esp for mags or graphic novels. I'd rather either read print or use my e-reader. But my phone draws me away, esp with game apps. Though, again, i prefer the bigger screen of console/pc gaming.
But oh - i just need to check my phone once more...

What you're complaining about I have been saying for nearly 10 years. When I said it out loud, people thought I was crazy, out of the loop, not sociable..whatever the case. They thought I was the odd one out. Now all you fuckers are whining about it. PUT YOUR PHONES DOWN, PEOPLE!!! YOU OWN THE PHONE, THE PHONE DOESN'T OWN YOU!!!
