I agree with you. I’ve noticed that I’m often the only person wearing a mask in some store too. I think people have become very complacent around here. Possibly because BC’s done such a good job at keeping this pandemic under control. They’re missing the point that if we relax too much too soon we’ll be right back at square one.

So disrespectful to other riders. I automatically think you’re an asshole (men and women) when you don’t cover up.

When I pass someone else who is wearing one, I give them space and say 'Thank you for being so considerate'. However when someone gets into my bubble, without a mask, it's 'HEY, 6 FEET PLEASE' and they're usually good about jumping the f* away. Harder on transit.

The masks are great though – it's a fantastic way to tell who cares more about others than themselves (toddlers and those who can't wear masks aside). Please give them some love, by thanking them aloud for being good humans. Others will catch on.

The other day on the 22nd street skytrain platform, I saw 3 trans link employees chatting and laughing in close proximity NOT wearing masks. Lots of hypocrisy these last few months.

Name some places to get masks without ordering them online. A lot of people somehow can't afford to use a Compass card, so use change instead - not even tapping a much more convenient credit card, presumably because they don't HAVE a credit card. Do you think these people can order masks online? Or would think to? And sure, TransLink gave out masks, but not to every person who uses the system. I used it every day pre-COVID, but I've been home ever since so I certainly don't have one of their masks, nor was I told which station I could pick one up at, so I struggle to expect these casual transit riders who don't have credit cards to own one.
