Chubster

I can’t imagine being fat. I’ve gained ten pounds during quarantine and I feel awful. I need to get out more but I’m depressed so it’s hard to get motivated even though I know that’s the only thing that will help my depression and my waistline.

You gotta begin somewhere. Tomorrow morning is as good as any other. took me about 6 weeks of an 20-60 minutes daily to get rid of my pandemic love handles. hardest part is getting started the first week.

To fat nation, you got one foot on a banana peel and the other on a slippery slope.
Now commit, just totally give in. Call Skip theDishes and bulk up baby. Ya!
Big is beautiful!

Can’t imagine being fat? Unless you’re an actor bulking up intentionally for a role, nobody plans to get fat, it happens through a lack of vigilance & discipline, or as a consequence of poor health/medication side effects.

For me, struggling with depression, motivation has less to do with weight loss than discipline. I’ve lost 100lbs this year & I needed surgery to do it. Now that I’ve recovered & have a surgically altered smaller stomach that better regulates my glandular issues, I track every bite I eat on MyFitnessPal. I make decisions about meals according to my daily nutrition goals, or ‘budgets.’. Exercise isn’t about how I feel, any more than washing dishes is an option.
Focussing on the why of eating & exercise has changed my approach & decisions about the what and how.
I wish you luck in your lifestyle & mental health issues. My journey started with a trainer who was sensitive to mental health issues & offered nutritional counselling. No need to feel ashamed, alone or unempowered.
