General manager only

My office is allowing people to return to work, and the GM told us it’s company rule that you must wear a mask when you’re in the office. Sure, that’s good and cool. But then he followed up right after saying that he hates wearing masks. Unless you’re a medical professional (Dr. Bonnie Henry, Dr. Anthony Fauci), your opinion on masks as a GM or politician or bar hopper mean zero to me. I’m only listening to the experts on viruses so spare us your mood, personal decision, opinion, gut-feeling, and wishful thinking on masks.

Why did you put up Doctor Fauci over Doctor Tam?

Doctor Tam is the Canadian Health Officer.

This confession says "I am more invested in what is American Covid than what is Canadian covid."

We have amazing health officers across our country.

He was complaining, just like you are here. And you know what? Don't. I'm only listening to experts in the psychology of complaint. Unless you're a complaint expert, I don't want to hear it.

If masks are a requirement by an employer, legally they must supply.

It's so tedious wondering if other people care about our mood, personal decision, opinion, gut-feeling, or wishful thinking. Thanks for the reminder that you don't

Only me

It's because of Dr. Henry that my workplace does not recommend that I wear a mask. I work with young childen in a daycare!

I felt shamed by my boss for wanting to wear one, as social distancing is not possible. When children speak, and you are on their level, their spittle lands INSIDE your mouth.

Dr. Henry's position effects school and daycare policy, which is based on limited early studies, and does not protect workers (read the BC CDC.) Recently, the WHO admitted that they know little about child transmission. This is all a grand social social experiment.

If I were you, I would count my lucky stars that your employer encourages mask wearing, even if it's a pain.
