Back in April i bought some seeds, compost and scavenged a few plants from neighbours. Tonight I ate my home grown zucchini with pesto and cheese. It was sensationally yummy . I’m a gardener now and always.

Squashes if all kinds love to "volunteer" here. Can't go wrong with kale and watch for slugs!

Congrats! Now that you're one of the initiated, try plating something and let 1 or 2 plants go to seed. Harvest the seeds and plant next year. Very satisfying feeling to plant your own seeds! Lots of info online. Just keep it simple and enjoy!
(and yes, chard is a good suggestion - simple, nutritious, easy to grow crop)
