Schadenfreude

I do NOT feel sorry for all the Airbnb hosts who can't find tenants. In fact, I hope they feel the financial pain, hard. You didn't give a fuck about me when you turfed me, so suck it up, buttercup, and sell your house for a $500K profit instead of a $1M one. Poor little landlord, my ass.

I hope they all have to put their units back on the rental market. It’s about time that renters got a break in this ridiculous market designed and built for only the people who have big bucks already. If you could only buy your house or apartment because you were counting on constant rental income at extremely unaffordable prices, well looks like reality bites for you. Sorry not sorry.

Just what has this country done to you that causes you so much resentment? I'm so sorry for you. Maybe you should think about your plight the next time you cast a ballot. Afterall, the fish rots from the head towards the tail.
Agree totally !

A cousin of a friend, met a couple times at BBQs bragging out loud how much he makes off of Air BNB. Got to hear about his very high end cars, $30k watch, private jets to Vegas every couple months, taking the GF to London/Paris/New York for shopping etc. Blowing the money on showing off instead of paying off the mortgages.
Heard recently his cars were repo'd and he's trying to sell a few of his places.

I would have rented it out at normal rent-sized amounts rather than the inflated prices that most of themseemed to charge.
Not everyone aspires to be wealthy.
AirBnB hosts might consider the possibility that..

Maybe they could start a GoFundme page for all those suffering from a loss of income as a result of the pandemic.
