Stay out of wreck beach

Go to Jericho or every other beach to keep your bathing suit on. When you come here fully clothed just to say you're here and look cool or to spectate you ruin the community. You make the nudies the minority. Be a part of it, to help normalize it (in that setting alone of course) or don't bother. Not trying to be rude but the decrease of naked people at wreck has completely changed because yall come in here fully clothed. what was once a totally different world and a very open and easy vibe, is now just another Jericho. The gentrification is truly saddening. When you're naked there its okay, because so is everyone else. And you see all types of bodies and people just being themselves and enjoying the beach without judgement. A lot of people don't feel comfortable doing that now because we're becoming the odd ones out. Be a part of it or go somewhere else, please.

Good point(s). Any wankers won't dangle in the breeze should be stripped searched for a spine and sent to a nearby briefing bay to undergo sensitivity training

You’re so right. Unfortunately this attitude has been getting worse and worse every year. My friends and I who were long-time wreck lovers, stopped going several years ago, because the place was taken over by Richie rich and his drunken yahoo buddies who just wanted to drink and ogle naked women, from their loud and obnoxious boats. Losers in my book, but they succeeded in completely ruining what was once a lovely and peaceful vibe. So sad!

I always think there should be a traffic jam on the stairs at the sign that says clothing optional with people putting on and taking off clothes.

Dream those big dreams.

"And you see all types of bodies and people just being themselves and enjoying the beach without judgement." and yet here you are, doing the hypocrite dance. Some people live across the street and don't have time to go to non-judgmental Jericho. Spread the love you want to see.

No.

Wreck Beach is a public beach. People can go there and wear clothing, it's fine. It doesn't belong to the nudists. You can be nude even if other people are not, it does not matter.

Nudies At Wreck?

I had no idea people still go there to be naked. There were always too many looky-loos, predators, and other nasty people frequenting the area.

I have been harassed and assaulted by disgusting creeps at wreck. I used to go all the time and get naked and I’d never go naked there again. It’s too bad. I used to love it.

Every time I've been, there's always a bunch of creepy old men leering at young women, so no, it's not a comfortable spot. Maybe try to care about them being there instead of the people who show up just because it's one of the nicer beaches in the region.

Refuse to back down

Let every nudist reclaim our beach. For those who stopped coming, come back, get naked and call out the ones who stare. Maybe stop selling your refreshments to those with clothes.
Unite and reclaim.

Typical tourists ruining

everything in their wake. They started their migration from Acadia Beach at Low Tide as they’re generally unable to walk the 100+ stairs due to their health. I’ve noticed now the same thing occurs at Iona & Crescent beaches. I remember the days when there weren’t even stairs to Wreck Beach, but now it’s fully accessible every Tom, Dick & Mary with their smart phones are exploiting beach goers and people like @No who apparently isn’t from Vancity still declares it’s a public beach without acknowledging it’s always been a nude beach. Too bad the city doesn’t step in and ticket those with clothes just like they do for those drinking and toking. Wreck beach has been ruined by tourists, are you happy now?
