What happened to the 7pm thing?

Did everyone give up? Well, they'll be back at it in no time given that the pandemic is resurfacing due to a lack of social distancing. Good old teenagers and young adults.

Don't forget the entitled Boomers. They're still out and about. Gen X seems the best qualified to for social distancing.

Wish the 7pm cheer was every weekend instead of every day. It gets as tiring as this pandemic. Wear a mask people! It’ll be over faster.

Where I live the front line workers are fatigued and resentful of all the people out there acting unsafely.
That banging thing would be annoying. Here the churches would just ring their bells (mostly loudspeakers as the physical bells aren't there any more) on Sunday in support even though they were empty.

The woman in England who started it asked people to stop pot banging and move on to other ways of expressing appreciation. She thought it had done it's job of getting people's attention (I'm paraphrasing as best I remember the article that was in the Guardian.)
