Wishful thinking

I saw a commercial for a nicotine withdrawal spray for people addicted to smoking. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if it was possible to create something similar for people addicted to alcohol or other drugs?

LSD was found to help people with alcoholism back in the 60s and researchers are looking at it again. Magic mushrooms, DMT, and MDMA have beneficial and lasting effects with a person personal issues when used under the supervision of a professional.
When it comes to quitting smoking, some antidepressants like Zyban have been found to help.

why do we feel the need to change our state? This requires examining our life and not just spraying it. Dig deeper. Many people use these chemicals because of past trauma, anxiety etc even boredom. Of course, this is a much bigger task to deal with these feelings and situations even when children are young. Pump money into this, not the war on drugs.
