Worried

I always wear a mask when I’m on a crowded street and any public indoor space.i don’t care what others think. I’m really worried that we will be hit with an even worse second wave. I’ve recently also become immune compromised. Am I just paranoid???

You're not paranoid and Vancouverites are selfish oversized children so it can be really nerve-wraking. The next wave will be in the winter so try to relax a bit but always social distance and wear your mask. It's summer, go to a park and get some sun and fresh air while you can. It'll be a long long winter.

You are not paranoid.
I am wearing mask and keeping a distance. I don’t care what people think. I am young and look healthy, but I am immune compromised person. I’ve gotten very ill and almost lost my life in the past. I don’t ever want to go through that again.

You’re smart

All we need to do is look at what’s happening in the US, to see the effects of people ignoring this virus. Sure we have definitely been very successful at flattening the curve, but I agree that it’s too soon to think that its gone.

The current worldwide death count is 573,000.

If I remember my rough calculation with a R0 of 3.5 the total dead should end up at 245,000,000.

Second wave incoming.

Not too worried now

I'm not too concerned about this covid or any second wave of it. I'm more concerned with the next pandemic or the one that will be coming after it. This is more like a small 2.0 earthquake compared to a 9.5 we'll be hit with within the next two or three years. Everyone should just use this as a template for preparation. Buy a few extra things that you'll need for a pandemic each time you shop and that you can store away for when the big one hits.
