I was making caramel in the microwave, barefoot. Put it on for too long, the bottom of the plastic bowl melted and I ended up with a massive blister on my big too. Couldn't wear a shoe for weeks. Be warned!!

Hot grease splashing out of the frying pan doesn't feel good either. There's a reason for those heavy duty oversized commercial kitchen aprons, protects your legs from a hot oven, too.

Even indoors. But I have large dogs, too.
That boot habit has saved me a world of hurt. Seen people slip and fall down carpeted stairs, on wet and greasy floors, the deck after a rain...
I'd wear them to shower, if I could. Catch a lot of grief for it. Meh.

Usually that expression includes barefoot and pregnant..if so congrats..if not..ride the pony and make it happen

Some guy kept saying that people should never cook bacon naked. Seems like that lesson is the same for this scenario!
