Getting kicks

I need new shoes but have been postponing it for months. Mine are very worn and give me horrible corns, but I can't bring myself to go shoe shopping. It is one of my least favourite things on earth, I don't know why I hate it so much. I usually buy stuff online but with shoes you can't do that, the fit needs to be perfect. I hope that sometime this week I can muster up the courage and energy to do it. I tried a few months ago and went to sport chek, tons of shoes but I didn't like any of them. So flashy! I felt like I was in Japan or times square, just so bright and flashy. And you need to talk to people and get them to fetch your sizes, most other things you can just do yourself. And then walk around a bit with them in the store. I just hate it so much, worse than hell I tell you!

Footlocker or sport check have an option/filer called Trusize or Trufit... you input your shoe brand model size then it translates that info into the pair you want to purchase...
Technology is good for something.

If you remember where

you got your old ones, you might be able to just get the same ones. Or just this year's model of them which is usually the same fit. Easy peasy. If you go in the morning on a week day, it's usually not crowded.

Or else you’d know that the worst shopping experiences are buying a bra or a bathing suit. If you think shoe shopping is a pain, have I got news for you!

Hhholy First World Problems, Batman!
I love this place. Vancouver happens when life imitates MTV's Real World.
For those not familiar (or too young), it was an early "reality" show - vapid, tacky, pretentious and ridiculously contrived, but on a lower budget, at least originally.
And with MTV's glorious "special sleazy sauce". Not "Breaking Amish" sleazy, but still very sketchy. I caught just the edge of it at the gym, and that was too much for me.
This reads like an episode of that. Special.

You shop like a woman

I just go to Canadian Tire or Costco and grab a pair from their small selection in my size. They usually fit fine. The entire process usually takes me about 5 minutes.

I'm so happy online shopping is an option. I dislike shopping and have done my whole life. If I have to go out, I stick to really small, easily navigable stores stores during hours that see fewer people. Every time I've tried to walk in to some super sized grocery store I end up out the door without the goods I needed. It's a flipping football field! I shouldn't need binoculars to see the section I want.

Online Shoes

You buy a few pairs, pick the one you want, then return them. Time it so your credit card isn't due before you can do the return. I buy shoes online like that all the time.

Properly fitting shoes are so important.
Supports your legs and back too. Whole spine man.
ill fitted shoes can give you walking issues duck feet corns planter warts.
Ankles that fall inwards. I've seen alot of that.
So many thousands of pounds of pressure happen with your every step.

Shoe Warehouse

If you shop there, you can help yourself to the boxes of shoes under the display model. Don't see your size? It is not in stock, no bother about waiting for the salesperson to fetch your size from the back room. You can check online first to see if you are interested in any of them and find out which location has your size in stock. This cuts out some time and effort.
