I started to re-dye my clothes

It is just way cheaper to make them look somewhat like new again and most of the stuff I buy in the stores is trash. I am 33, employed professionally, but live in Vancouver so these are the things I have to do. I eat take-out once a week, and I'm maxed out. I go to a restaurant once in a blue moon and it's regular restaurants... not fancy shit. Sometimes I look at my friends and I just get anxious watching them spend spend spend. Good luck Vancouver... or millenials in general. I think you're quite screwed if this is how you spend and save.

Memories

When I was a broke university student, I would dye my clothes. Stovetop dye, boiling my clothes, I remember the packages of dye. They never turned out as I had imagined (ie dyeing a blue shirt to jet black never happened) but it was still my way of trying to switch things up on the cheap. There’s no reason to buy clothes these days (at least not for me): no parties, no dinners out, no celebrations, no group gatherings. It’s just a lot of walking around solo with half my face covered. You’re right about stores selling garbage though; nothing is meant to last.

You're just cheap, and expect everyone to spend their money on you.

What COVID-19 is doing to the economy will have lasting impact on the economy only further screwing millennials but climate change is going to be a catastrophe for all the younger generations.
