MAN, I sort of feel bad

I am using up so much water for my plants It's really not good. I don't know if I will do that again next year, but I might because it looks so beautiful.

You feel guilty about using water, when we have a virtually unlimited supply in the mountains,at Cleveland dam a couple weeks ago they had it open to let off excess water. And the Fraser river running past with over 100 cubic kilometers a year.
Are you worried about breathing, lest you use up too much oxygen?

Nothing wrong with watering plants. Grass is a bit iffy as that can be wasteful, but a beautiful garden is good for the environment, mindset and aesthetics.

We live in a temperate RAIN forest. The only reason people are freaking out about water use is because of all the water that is being sold off (at ridiculously low prices I might add), to the US (companies like Nestle who get insanely cheap water from BC and then turn around and bottle it in non-biodegradable plastic and sell it for humongous profits; it’s now been sold to a Quebec company who is going to do exactly the same thing) Not to mention all of the new developments in places like the Okanagan that is a DESERT, and was never intended to have mass numbers of people building in those hills. If it wasn’t for these issues we’d be fine with the water supply we have, although obviously people who insist on daily watering of vast areas of lawn are being very wasteful. I have a garden. Not only am I providing a beautiful view for my neighbours to enjoy, I’m also providing plants that give off oxygen and a food source for bees and other pollinators. The trade off is definitely worth the meagre amount of water that I use to sustain it.
