Poor you

I have a friend who seems to really hate women, don't know if he's part of some men's rights group or what's going on with him. He's always going on about conspiracies of women trying to destroy his and his friend's lives. The weirdest thing is he's upset women don't want to date him. Dude, if you start right out the gate hating someone they're not going to want to spend any time with you. The few relationships he did manage to have have been really unhealthy (Gosh I wonder why?) When he's not going off on his weird rants, he can be funny and okay to hang out with. With covid happening I haven't seen him face to face for months and he's been going down strange rabbit holes on social media since then. Don't know if I do want to see him again when things get better but I also worry about him.

But as a guy, my perspective is that it was be nice to have the door opened for me symbolically and literally once in a while. It’s actually pretty tough being a guy too unless you’re y’all and handsome, in which case you are part of some elite society where no effort is required.

are pathetic haters ... before anyone think to blame anyone for their misery they need take a good look at themselves and then, like the great teachings of all ages: "You be the change you want to see in this world." When enough people get that then we as a planetary society will hit positive critical mass for upliftment.

This is a great example...

of when a man has the opportunity to influence another man by standing up for women. Straight up tell him he sounds like a whack job and that women don't owe him anything. Apparently he needs to be told and you'd be a better ally to the women in your life if you did.

And?

I dated a woman who thought she hated all men. I couldn't stand her company. I haven't spoke with her in decades. I don't miss her. It takes all types. It quickly become very boring if we were all the same.

I’ve noticed more and more of this type of attitude. I liken it to racism; when a group of people who have always enjoyed having privileges that they’ve mistakenly assumed are rights that they’re automatically entitled to, suddenly have to cope with not being as privileged as they’ve come to expect, often times they react with deep resentment and rage. The guys who mistakenly believe that women are the source of all of humanity’s troubles fall into this category. They don’t stop to consider how thoroughly unfairly women have been treated by men for as long as humans have been here. They’d much rather blame women for insisting on the same privileges that these white men have been enjoying forever. Tough luck buttercup. Times have changed and men have to learn to adapt because women are not going back to barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen.

So if he is a real guy, okay I'll give that cause this dumbass is. It's possible that the OP is not exactly on point but coming from a place of anger, but wtf would I know not like I have been ripped to pieces crying my heart for people I'd forgive again and again and not one of them are willing to allow my side in. So moderator mediate that.
