Rota Fortunae

There's a song I'm afraid of that only gets stuck in my head just before something serious is about to go down. I try to ignore it and hope that if I don't accidentally sing it aloud that I can prevent whatever disaster is about to take place. Yet somehow in a moment of distraction, it slips out and then I'm terrified. What's the worse that could happen. The worst possible thing you can imagine. But lately, I don't feel as afraid as I used to. So much is happening every day and maybe it's a good thing, even when I don't know what it is. And now I try not to be afraid and sing freely this strange mix of two songs. Across the Universe and 21 by The Cranberries. Nothing's gonna change my world... Nothing's gonna change my world...Nothing's gonna change my world...Nothing's gonna change my world... Today, today, today, today...

Choose your beliefs wisely

My father believed that ravens were the messengers of death. Every time a raven would appear before him, one of his brother's died. After his brothers were gone, I was with him and he opened the front door to raven squaking at him. He freaked out, and a month later he died. Personally, I believe our minds are very powerful, and whatever we choose to believe will manifest itself someway into our reality.
Ravens as signs of death became his reality, so whenever he would see a raven squaking around him, he believed someone would die, and then someone would. These events in his life planted the seeds in my own to believe ravens were the messengers of death. After his death a raven approached me and began squaking, but I wasn't buying it. Messengers of disaster, only want to bring disaster into your life by having you believe their message. I told that raven that it's mind tricks don't work on me. Nothing ever came of it after that.

However all that being said, I believe dreams are a little different than a passing thought, an auditory or visual triggered response that you may experience through the day. I've had premonition dreams of disaster that ended up unfolding in my own life that I didn't understand until the actual event had taken place. I've had premonition dreams of natural and unnatural disasters that are going to unfold in this world, which seem rather unpreventable. Even if it's unpreventable, it's still good to have that "brace for impact" or "approach with caution" indicator light go on rather than just be totally blind sided and becoming something a lot more fatal.

Try listening to a different song.
It will get the other two songs out of your head.
Your Welcome
Nothing ever changes
Have you seen the movie
Ground hog day ?
Prime example
Secret tactical forces at work hindering progress in that movie.
Make sense ?
Or try a new breakfast place.
Food heals the soul.
Waffles anyone.

I can understand your point that we have the option to choose what things mean to us. Just like your father making a connection that crows cawing leads to a death. Since a young age I’ve associated crows as messengers of warning and these days more as nature’s motion detectors. Apparently it’s been swooping season for crows as they endeavour to protect their young lately.

My impression of dreams is that they are like a coin sorter that sorts memories throughout the day. Every now and then a foreign object or new currency that doesn’t fit anywhere is introduced and continues to jiggle around until we consciously make a place for it or address it. Those are the ones I call left field dreams. The ones I can’t connect to anything I’ve come into contact with. That’s when the Dream dictionary comes out and I’ll read up and see if anything connects. In your case it almost sounds like your subconscious picks up on subtle cues and makes accurate assumptions at times.

Yes sometimes it’s handy to have a heads up as long as it can be approached in a constructive way. Remember to avoid tensing up on impact and or rolling with it.

Metallic taste ah? Hmm apparently that’s called dysgeusia. Reading up online it mentions the urinary system and sense of taste parts of the brain are close together. I wonder if this might be the reason for your experience. Otherwise, perhaps it’s something worth delving deeper into.

metallic taste can be the harbinger of horrible things. Like a nuclear power plant exploding near you ? I mean the other thing, if the metallic taste is actually IN THE MOUTH (where else would it be?) nevermind. I like the other one when I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping. It is kind of like looking at the planet and see it needs sweeping...
