As someone who has had thoughts of killing myself since I was like 10, I wish there were somewhere I could talk about it without risking arrest.

Dan offers some advice on where she might find it.
You were sitting by yourself & you ordered a few Curry Fish Balls and a few deep-fried Spring...

You kinda just did.
I mean "tell everyone".
Its OK though, cause sadness should be talked about. Deep Sadness
And there should be a place or group setting ( with no sliding scale ) to share negitive thoughts and set them free.
Free that crap.
Move on
Make yourself happy.
You deserve it.
Sometimes you just need a " point " in the right direction or someone to just bounce ideas off of.
We are all human and have bad days.
So dont be too hard on yourself and try again tomarrow.
New Day
Every waking day is a chance to shine, for yourself.
You.

Arrest seems to be the last thing you need to worry about if the cops show up at your door to conduct a "health check" on you. You'd be lucky to come out of that encounter alive, let alone with any health to speak of.
I agree with OP

It should not be called depression.
It should be called Deep Sadness.
And it needs to be expelled.
Like Ricketts.
Or it will eat you up inside and kill your soul.
Let youself be happy.
Find you again !!
We all derserve a little bit of happiness.
When you are happy inside it shows and you want to share that happiness and make others feel happy too.
Is making sense ?
Damn

There absolutely should be. I'm super sorry you are going through this. It's absolute garbage that we meet this distress and despair with police response. I don't know if it would be a fit, but somewhere like WAVAW would offer a trauma informed approach to suicidality that is not cop based. I wish I knew you, OP, because I'd be so happy to offer you this kind of support. There are support groups out there. Might consider connecting with Access and Assessment at VGH if you're in Vancouver, they do a lot of good connecting people with resources.
Agree with OP and @Shhhh

It would be nice to be able to disclose suicidal ideation in a way that doesn't end up in mental health apprehension and hospitalization. Especially when (I'm guessing) a significant percentage of us feel this way either from time to time or on a consistent basis.
Anyway, there's always this space, OP. We hear you.

You are darkness, you are light.
You are both.
We all have always been both.
