I want to tell him I love him

I already know he loves me, even though he hasn't said it (has eluded to it many times, but knows it might scare me away). I don't want to complicate things, or have our relationship change because I'm happy, satisfied, and healthily comfortable. He knows it and I know it so why bother right...But tonight I thought to myself, if something were to happen to one of us, how I'd dread never physically saying "I love you" in a very honest and meaningful way. And the romantic in me is thriving at the idea. But such things can't be undone, and I'm equally scared of changing something so good. *sigh*

Just kiss them

like you love them. Not everything needs to be spoken.
They'll get it.

Do it!

You will always regret it if you don‘t. Even if it doesn’t work out, it is worth it!

For those who don't understand

The OP might be in a non-exclusive relationship or simply just not living together. Saying I love you might change that arrangement.

Not sure since met my wife when were were well under 25 years old, but if you don't tell him the truth now you might live to regret it.

Love is a hard thing, its no bed of roses other than sometimes ha ha

I am kind of in the same boat, except I'm not sure he is quite there yet. I want to say it for the reasons you speak of but I don't want him to feel he needs to say it if he's not quite ready to.and, like you say, you can't unsay it. What if it changes things? I mean, I tell everyone I love them all the time, but this is different. It seems so momentous. And scary! I've only ever told two people in my whole life that I loved them. One was in a long relationship where he said it first, and the second was in a card when they were moving away (so doesn't count). Anyway-I get it, even if the downvotes seem to show most people don't :p

because just ASSuming a person knows how you feel is dumb.

you may be right

Perhaps he is eluding complicating things by simply alluding to you that he loves you. That way nothing has to change and you can remain happy...

that's true. I don't think there is any doubt how I feel based on things like that. Words don't always need to happen.

Say It!

Only an insecure idiot would throw everything away over a feeling or a sentiment. I said it early on in my relationship and it freaked the guy out and he didn’t say it back but he said it when he was ready and here we are a bunch of years later and I love him more deeply than ever.

Just tell him...

.. then if he doesn't love you, you can move on to someone else. And don't expect a man to say it first, educated men know that this breeds contempt in the woman.
