R.I.P

I lost my beautiful little pet who was not only a massive part of my life, but helped with my own depression and anxiety without judgement, only pure love and acceptance. Now that I'm a "grown up" I feel that I should be able to move on, but everything reminds me of him and life just feels like a horrible lucid dream right now. He will always be in my heart though. Never, ever let anyone tell you that it's stupid to mourn an animal - only pet owners understand this bond.

My condolences

I’m so sorry for you about your pet. Anyone who’s ever loved an animal can understand how huge an impact their death can have on us. Bring an adult has nothing to do with grieving; we all do it. Please be gentle with yourself and allow yourself to feel the pain without feeling guilty because he was “just a ____” (whatever species he was). He was special to you and now he’s gone, and it’s normal to grieve.

I completely understand and agree with you.
I do have a dog who has helped me through my depression. Losing a dog is one of the hardest thing that any dog parents have to go through.
I feel your pain and sorrow.
It is never easy and to be prepared for.
We can be grateful for them to be there for us and thank them.
I am sure your fur baby had a wonderful and happy life with you. He is grateful for you.
He will be missed and much loved by you.
You are and always will be his mom forever.
