Bad year is an understatement

It's bad enough I lost my home, dreams, partner, savings, mental & physical health, friends, cat, vehicle, and livelihood (even got scammed for a grand on a lease) this year but now I have to kill the thing that I love the most in this world - my dog.

Did you lose your home, dreams, partner, savings, etc

because your partner left you?

Maybe they left because they realized you loved the dog more.

Hope that was the worst of it

I once had a year much like that. Lost the love of my life, my mental and physical health, and my dog. Not that life won't still have it's struggles, but here's hoping the only way is an upward trend for you from now on. Peace.

Feeling ya

You have my sympathy OP. I had to say goodbye to my most cherished creature on earth a few years ago and it still stings me to this day. You have tough times ahead, peace be with you.

Don't be "that person". Don't kick someone when they're down. That just makes you the worst person in the room.

OP: hugs.
It must be so hard. If you have even one good friend, let them know you need that friend now. This is not the time to hold it in. Reach out, let people know what you need, even if it's just to sit quietly and hold you so you can cry.

Gosh

So sorry to hear this - sounds like 2020 has been a terrible year for you. Having to put down a dog is painful in the best of times.

All I can do is send you positive wishes as you go through the grieving process and everything else that's on your plate. Be kind to yourself, recognize that it takes time to get through that grief, and do whatever you need (positive things) to help you through this.

(For what it's worth, when I had to put my dog down, I quietly grieved for four years. He was my best buddy.)

Wishing you all the best, and that your life starts to take an upswing for the better.

Who down votes a post like this? Why are there so many horrible c**ts in this city?

Sorry for your loss, you must learn to not look to the majority of Vancouverites for compassion. They're having a bad time of it because the barista used soy milk instead of almond milk in their pumpkin spice latte and to add insult to injury, the capri triple white sneakers they were saving for were sold out. Poor Vancouverites, first the inconvenience of COVID-19 and now I can't get what I want and this person is reminding me how good I really have it. Gain some self awareness you monkey's.

I posted @did and I'm a Vancouverite. You don't know who's from where. You unfairly insulted z whole bunch of people whose story you have no idea.
There are two kinds of people and they are everywhere: the nice ones and the fearful. Out of fear, some strike out or shut down, it's all they know. Pity the latter, our job is to help inspire and lead them to our side.

I lost

25 grand - got scammed, broke my back - because of my employer. Welcome to my life, a life of an illegal alien

Jezzuz, really?

Yes really. Jezzuz already said it would be like this.

You know what is infinitely insane and worse?
