Before my partner freaks out...

I rush home sometimes, because I forgot to do a simple task she asked me to do before we leave for work. I'll even leave work early to do the dishes before she steps through the door. She has a huge OCD about cleaning, and shes been under alot of stress. So I try and make sure theres one less thing at home to freak her out . Funny thing is,no matter what, theres always something else I forget to do.(why wont you write it down?) Because I forget where I write things down. Meet the human goldfish

Put down your phone and quit smoking so much weed.
That's the nicest way I can put it

Find a new partner this one sounds like the worst! Also grow a pair.

Sounds stressful

It's a fine line between supporting someone with mental illness and joining them in that illness. It sounds like you are subjecting yourself to a lot of unnecessary stress and maybe even a kind of emotional abuse (i.e.) you are so worried about her reaction that you dread it and avoid it at all costs. People forget things, people don't do all their chores... it's not a big deal usually and doesn't have to be fraught with emotional landmines. You may want to talk with someone about this problem. Best of luck to you!

you're a prisoner in your own home and your partner is the Warden.

You're walking on eggshells

just to keep from freaking your partner out?

Sounds like you're being controlled and even bullied by her in a passive aggressive way. Some people use their supposed hyper-sensitivity to keep those around them under their thumb, and to make it seem like their own unhappiness is always the other person's fault.
You need to free yourself from this person.

People with cleaning OCDs are common, with different levels of severity. Nothing wrong with that.

If anything sounds like the OP and their partner are just busy as hell, but this person is at least to doing what they can to help those mental ocd ticks, even if they are being horribly forgetful. It's better than someone not caring at all imo.

Your partner must be of Eastern European descent. They are absolutely obsessed with cleaning!

Yeah, yeah we all have stress, and by the looks of it she's just another source for yours. Why don't you just do the cooking, while she does the dishes. If she's such an OCD clean freak she should enjoy doing it, and destress herself in the process.

Is she pregnant?

Or is this a regular thing?

I dated an OCD guy who said his med courses made him germaphobic.
