Some people are skinny, and if they want to improve their physique they can lift weights. Some people are overweight, and they could focus on losing weight. Me? I am both skinny and fat at the same time! What the hell am I supposed to do? FML

Fat skinny

You're fat skinny. Are you a dude? Then, reduce your body fat by eating correctly, doing cardio and weight lifting until you get down to 10% body fat, then build muscle mass by pumping iron exclusively.

If you're woman the same but use weight lifting to tone your muscles, so don't train for size, so more reps or less you want to get big? That's cool if you do. It's not as scientific, it just requires discipline.

There are so many YouTube videos with sound regiments from people that know what they're talking about, and they make their money from views so you don't have to pay a personal trainer. Do a search for something like, I'm fat skinny, how do I fix it or fat skinny solutions.

Best of luck.

It’s not so simple. Especially for women. Lose weight = lose boobs and hips. That’s what lipo and other procedures are for. Also you have to train different body parts differently . Ask a trainer to help. Personally I have skinny, super toned legs naturally and a round tummy. When I lose weight it comes off my legs first not my problem area!! Have tried everything it’s just how I am.

Whining/complaining on the internet has always fixed the problem. If only there was a like button on this confessions section...

You can lift...

Oct 18, 2020 at 3:16pm

... everyone can lift. It will improve your metabolism. You can also cut by limiting carbs. As long as you get adequate protein and fat, you can continue to lift. This is 2020, there is tons of information about this on the Internet. Pity me, a fat kid growing up in the 90s when the Internet had nowhere near as much information and I got told stupid shit by doctors and parents about how I'd "grow out of it."

You can also just lose weight and then put on muscle mass. Quit whining, start lifting.

Just for clarification

In repeating what others have already helpfully suggested, skinny fat was a thing back in the mid 90s before new information existed. I still have my old Gold's Gym book of bodybuilding, and it's amazing how different the information is now!
You would need to eat less and lose fat (and some muscle) and then eat more and and gain muscle (and some fat). Calorie counting works. I used to be 'skinny-fat'. We all distribute fat differently. I can look like a twig and gain love handles, but a decade or two or lifting changed my overall look.

You need to lift weights

Deadlifts, squats and body weight exercises such as planks & push ups.
You will tone your body and change your appearance in about 6 months. Also check out your diet and think of eating as fuel for your new body.
You can do it!

Do you drink?

Drinking lots of beer can really put on the pounds around the mid-section.
