One of the major lessons in life for me

was learning that we really shouldn't assume.
We can be so sure about something
And be unaware of factors
that we can't even imagine, having had a different life experience

Dan offers some advice on where she might find it.
You sat across the bar from me. I looked up and we caught each other's eye and both smiled....

You are forced to assume even if you shouldn't all the time.

Unfortunately that lesson is one that far too many of us never learn. We sit in judgment of others without having the benefit of real knowledge about their situation. I like the adage about glass houses.

One should never assume.
But ask a question and
the answer would be a pleasant surprise.
Im more than ready.

I assume you’re trying to say something else. But I’m not going to assume what.

That's where the communication breaks down. When you assume there is something else rather than exactly what a person says.
That’s fine but

You don’t need certainty in order to make decisions. What you want is the ability to be open to new information that alters your perception but you can’t actually survive and thrive by having an entirely nonjudgmental attitude. You have to start somewhere
Well put That's fine but

But say this to a spiritual or religious person who's trained themselves to not judge (people) and maybe they'll be able to explain how it's possible.
