Better than ever

I was harassed- emotionally abused, controlled, stalked, and talked about amongst co-workers. I did not feel safe at all in my workplace, so I left. It took me a long time to feel safe again in a work setting. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. It did. Now, I am still healing, but I have never loved life as much as I do now. If you are reading this and you are feeling your all time lows, keep your chin up. There is always light at the end of the tunnel, and that time will come.

That doesn't make anyone feel good to be bullied at work. Have you ever filed a respectful workplace complaint? Perhaps that would help. I went through a similar ordeal at my job. That person happened to be a Supervisor. Unfortunately, he was clearly deluded and had a personal vendetta against me. So I decided to take action and file a complaint. They all heard me out when we met and acknowledged my feelings. I could not be more amazed at their level of compassion and understanding. So they met with that person and put him in his place very nicely. From here on out, he's not allowed to have any contact with me whatsoever. Otherwise he will get into serious trouble for retaliating. It's important to stand your ground by putting bullies in their place so that they'll know their behavior towards staff is very unacceptable and will not be tolerated. People who double cross you deserve to be cut completely out of your life. Block them on social media, erase all their numbers from your phone and forget about them. Leopards never change their spots. Good luck, my friend.

I worked my azz off for whole paycheque. I got a raise. My coworkers found out. Then they decided to slack. I picked up the slack. That also turned into picking up a bottle to combat the gossip and stress.
Looking back now. I would have taken the raise. Lowered my effort of 80-100percent... into maybe 65-75. Then started looking for a better job. Silly me. Oh well! I’m laughing now! That place is a cult.

I relate

I want to sue the corporation that did nothing to stop this.
I’m still traumatized.

You were very, very lucky to be treated so well. I had a similar situation at work. My manager was bullying and sexually harassing me. I told my union rep - she said she didn't want to talk about it and hung up on me. Because he was doing this stuff publicly - even in front of his own manager - I didn't see any point in making an internal complaint so I filed a human rights complaint. They advised me to settle, for a miniscule amount, and I lost my job. This was a major company, over 5000 employees, who you will have definitely heard of. If the company culture is rotten, you will not be treated fairly. I felt very bitter for a while, but I now feel I am lucky to be out of there. I just feel sorry for my really nice co-workers who are still there.
