Friends..

Are posting on Facebook, they are on dates, going on group walks, vacation, restaurants, dating etc. Basically living life as if it's just normal times. Is it just me, or is this incredibly disrespectful in the current climate? It makes me a bit sad actually as I've lost ALL respect for these people.

Scrolling Facebook in 2020

Is like peering into the kaleidoscope of a shared delusion. It’s not just you. These are very disturbing times.

Delete fakebook now!

You're still using fakebook? You haven't seen the documentary The Social Dilemma? Social media is not only scarring self-esteem, making people question their self-worth, causing dissatisfaction in life, increasing depression and suicides at an alarming rate but now has transcended past to more dangerous territory. It is now altering behaviour and changing the perception of how people perceive this world rigidly than ever at the expense of attention that is being sold.

Because your friends are addicted to being attention whores and are willing to get sick or kill a parent or grandparent, doesn't mean you should follow their bull sh%t social media posts. Stop, because it's obviously f#cking with your mind. Delete fakebook.

Don't be too hard on them

I live on Beach Ave., in Vancouver's West End. The city has turned the avenue into a "temporary" bicycle route that is purely for recreational purposes. It is normally a busy arterial route for commuters, but now it is a destination playground for the entire lower mainland and the neighborhood has become party central everyday since April. It's like the fireworks festival every day, with crowds galore. They've even had to close restaurants because the visitors are obtuse to the covid health guidelines. Yet, the charade continues everyday. 2 meters apart does not happen here and few wear facemasks. I have to leave my own neighborhood if I want to follow the public health guidelines and avoid crowds. To suggest that these selfish morons are a bunch of assholes is a pure understatement. But, the cyclists need their exercise and all the other parks in town are crowd free, so I don't mind it too much.

Bonnie's putting us on serious lockdown now.
Have you masks on when out and no guests for 2 weeks.

We need the 2 week (poss 3 or 4)

Lockdown to really halt this disease.
We can do this long before the December festivities.

Time to temporarily go back to March lockdown

to find out which of us has it and then quarantine until healed.

This is how selfish people actually are

A pandemic is a good way to find out who among us are actually intelligent and caring members of society. Hint: it’s not the Granville St Halloween Party Crowd!

Now we get the lockdown that we had coming and hopefully it will save a few lives and smarten a few people up!

No, you need months of lock-down in stages. There are typically zero community cases per day in Singapore but it took months of effort from everyone (and enforcement).

The advice is to wear a mask indoors, not to wear one "when out." Plus, there is no such order posted on the BC Government website as of now.

I also live in a place where it seems the entire lower mainland comes to every weekend. It’s so frustrating because those of us who live here have to contend with what feels like grand central station on our local roads and sidewalks. Some people are definitely trying to socially distance, but many, many others are oblivious. I’m so fed up!
