Married for 37 years

... and 5 years ago he had an affair. I struggle to feel safe anymore. Any of you who are contemplating an affair, I want you to know the outcome for the mother of your children and the grandmother of your grandchildren.

So make sure she does not find out. No "admitting" it to her to ease your guilty conscience. Just enjoy your time together.

That sucks.

My ex boyfriend’s Dad cheated for years and actually put women up in apartments all over Vancouver. His Mom found out when she found information about all the suites he was renting. She stayed with him and I think it was the wrong choice. My ex was totally traumatized by his fathers behavior and grew to resent his mother for not standing up to him. I think it’s why our relationship didn’t work out - he was so confused about how to be in a healthy relationship and so cynical about women.

Is it really such a big deal? I mean if you've been married 37 years, then your kids are all grown up and moved out right??
