No one, nothing

I checked the most recent order. It's now been made clear that people who live alone are not allowed to see anyone who does not also live alone. For me, this means I no longer have anyone I am legally allowed to see. Meanwhile, all of my usual mental health supports have been taken away, as those workers have been redeployed by VCH for COVID. Guess I'll die?

Twins love with eternity. I feel we all have a twin and they're never far away...

You don't think you could Facetime anyone you wanted any time you wanted? You don't think you could take a walk around the seawall with them? You don't think you could bring them whoppers and eat them 6 feet apart on the back porch? Sheezus the lack of imagination on people is astounding.

Be gentle with the solitary

This board has seen a few confessions of people expressing legitimate pain about being alone. I live alone, I keep up with all my hobbies, have zoom calls, walks, all safely following the orders. I can attest that being alone, not being touched, not having anyone’s energy truly close to you, changes the structure of your brain negatively. There’s nothing the solitary can do about this, but try to survive it. So please everyone, get off your high horse and stop telling the solitary to “just get over it.” We’re trying, but solitary confinement really fucks you up, and if you experienced it ever, you would know that we need compassion and understanding. I feel for you OP - it’s lonely and sad and resources are hard to get. There’s lots of us like you, and I hope you continue to survive this.

Where I live, everyone just carries on as normal but will wear a mask in stores.
Weather's relatively temperate in Vancouver, just meet your friends in parks if you have to. There's probably no enforcement anyway if they came over to your place.

Ha! Whatever...

Even when it comes to real laws in the best of times, I only abide by those that I agree with. What are they going to do? Load us into boxcars and haul us off to the isolation concentration camps? If they start pulling that shit, well, there are far more of us than there are of them. I won't be hesitant in doing what is justified if such a scenario does occur.

Anti-Henry

Not true. If you live alone, Bonnie said you can meet up with 2-3 others, as long as you keep it small & wear a mask to keep you both safe. Don’t become a hermit. Go out and spend time outside with people you like!

I hang out with people who live alone. They are my bubble.

Read the order. I don't think links are allowed here, but it should be pretty easy to google. It's the Gatherings and Events one dated December 4. Part C, on page 10-11. #5 specifies that people who live alone can have 1-2 people who they regularly interact with in their homes. #7 specifies that it's only people who live alone who can be in someone else's home, and it can only be one home.

It's cute to see people in BC actually taking this seriously now. I've been in self isolation for 9 months.
